How it all began? With design and all that...
I'm Anja, a freelance surface pattern designer and the creative soul behind Vandyra® Design – based up North.
Through life's adversities, I swapped the "syringe" (medical work) for the pen.
Quasi turning my favorite long-time hobby into a profession.

My bubbling creativity
It is my anchor and daily meditation shot. The flow grabs me again and again – everywhere, unexpectedly.
My Sources of Inspiration
The vastness of the sea.
The scent of the forest.
In general, nature and wildlife are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me.
The diversity of life, small moments I encounter daily, and the dark beauty and melancholy of the night give me plenty of impulses.
My insatiable thirst for knowledge
I'm always on the lookout for new creative themes to dive even deeper into. New discoveries and ideas make me shine.
Experimenting with materials, colors, and shapes excites me.
Through further training and workshops, I deepen my knowledge, learn techniques, and expand my repertoire.
In short: "I'm the cheerful, eternal learner!"
Pen, Pixel, Linocut: The Diversity of My Art
I work traditionally with pen, brush, colors, and paper – and use digital possibilities without artificial intelligence (AI).
For that, I still have my imagination-spirit that wants to be kept on its toes. I combine styles and techniques to create lively moods
Sometimes I reach for the knife in linocut. With a sharp blade and steady hand, unique prints emerge.
My favorite digital toolkit includes:
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Inkscape and Procreate.
A Dash of Madness
My playful dance spirit thrives on fun and joy of life. I love laughing at myself and the little things in life. Humor is essential for me – I adore witty double meanings and puns. I most enjoy working with people who tick the same way.
